Re: Albanian Immigrants Residing in Greece
Letter of Action
The strong do what they have the power to do and the weak accept what they have to accept. The Greek Philosopher Thucydides in his Melian Dialogue depicted these famous words. The Melian Dialogue serves as a reflecting mirror in capturing brutality and immorality of how states try to maintain their own security by using power, and at the same time deserting the essence of the responsibility to norm and values by failing to exercise ethics and justice. One can see clearly that this statement holds true in the real word.
To whom it may concern,
There are many injustices that go on in this world; this is the reason why I am writting to your organization. My name is Alma Ajazi, and I am an Albanian- American residing in Michigan. I want to bring to you the inhumane treatment towards Albanians who are residing in Greece. A very disturbing video was showing on youtube, were Greek police were involved in the beatings of two Albanian boys. This is vindictive, and no one should deserve to go through this cruel abuse. This is not the only case; there are thousands of cases made toward Albanians who are residing in Greece. The Declaration of Human Rights” where 135 states have ratified the charter acknowledging that all human beings are born free and equal in their dignity and rights. I would like this doctrine to hold true, not only with the Albanian immigrants residing in Greece, but to all human beings through out the world.
It is very unfortunate, because even though Albania is heading towards the road of democracy, the country is still unstable, this is the reason why the government is negligent towards human rights and protecting the fundamental rights of its own citizens in the diaspora.
Please I ask you kindly to pay more attention in the matter illustrated above. Hopefully your organization will intervene to help the Albanian immigrants in Greece and encourage the Greek Government to take this matter more seriously, and hopefully to create better diplomatic relationship with the country of Albania. Justice needs to be done, and we as people being a part of this society, cannot turn our backs on this. Our voices needs to gush to prevent human abuses.

Duke degjuar per nje Shqipetare dhe nje djale Gjeorgjan qe u abuzuan nga policia greke me ka ardhur shume keq dhe akoma me keq per Shqiperia ka nje qeveri te deshtuar. Prandaj vendosa te shkruaj tek organizata te ndryshme si " Amnesty International" qe luftojne per te drejtat e njerezeve. Gjeri tani mund te kem shkruar 30 letra dhe vetem nje pergjigje pozitive kam marre. Kerkoj te publikoni kete leter ne gazeten tuaj duke shtuar nje thirje per te gjithe bashkatdhetaret ta firmosin kete leter. Qellimi im eshte te mblidhen sa me shume firma duke e bere kete ceshtje me serioze dhe vete do ta dorezoj kete leter tek organizata " Amnesty International" ne SHBA. Duhet te trokasim diku qe zerat tane te degjohen. Shpresoj te punojme sebashku per nje Shqiperi me te forte.
Te fortit bejne cfare kane ne dore te bejne dhe te dobetit pranojne cfare u bie per fat. Keto fjale i ka nxjere ne drite vet filozofi grek Thucydides. Keto fjale reflektojne edhe sot brutalitetin sdhes imoralitetin qe disa shete i praktikojne per te siguruar pushtetin nepermjet forces, duke dezertuar njekohesisht esencen e pergjegjesise ndaj normave dhe vlereva duke anashkaluar etiken dhe drejtesine.
Ne kete bote ka shume padrejtesi dhe kjo eshte arsyeja pse zgjodha tju shkruaj organizates tuaj. Emri im eshte Alma Ajazi dhe jam qytetare Shqiptaro-Amerikano me banim ne Michigan. Synimi im eshte t'ju vej ne dijeni per trajtemin cnjerezor qe po vuajne Shqipetaret e Greqise. Nje video e temershme per tu pare u shfaq ne faqen e internetit "youtube.com" ku agjente te policise greke rrihnin nje Shqipetar dhe nje Gjeorgjan ne mjediset e policise. Ky eshte nje veprim ndeshkimor, hakmarres qe asnje qenie njerezore nuk e meriton. Per me teper, ky nuk eshte vetem rasti i pare. Jane mijera raste te ngjashme te vuajtura nga Shqipetaret ne shtetin Helen por qe u kane shpetuar kamerave te fshehta dhe celulareve. Deklarata e te Drejtave te Njeriut e cila eshte nenshkruar nga 135 shtete njeh se te gjithe njerezit jane te lire dhe te barabarte ne te drejta dhe dinjitet. Do doja qe kjo doktrine te pinte uje jo vetem per rastin e Shqipetareve te Greqise por per mbare qeniet njerezore kudo qe jane. Kesaj gjendjeje te emigrante Shqipetare ne Greqi i shtohet edhe situata vete Shqiperise. Ndonese vendi tashme eshte vene ne rrugen e demokracise, Shqiperia vazhdon te jete e pastabilizuar dhe e pafuqishme per te ngritur zerin ne mbrojtje te qytetareve te saj.
Do tju lutesha ta trajtonit me shume kujdes kete problem. Shpresoj se per hire te parimeve tuaja dhe emrit tuaj, ju si organizate do te nderhyni ne mbrojtje te te drejtave te emigranteve shqipetare dha ta shtyni Greqine qe ta trajtoje me seriozitet ceshtjen e te drejtave te qytetareve dhe te respektojne marredheniet diplomatike ne vendin fqinj Shqiperine. Mendoj se drejtesia duhet vene ne vend dhe ne nuk mund te rrime duarkryq perpara nje fenomeni te tille. Le ta ngreme zerin fort per te parandaluar abuzimet cnjerezore.
