11/14/2007 - Brodec Killings in Macedonia
D E C L A R A T I O N

The well known slogan “its better 100 guilty men in freedom than an innocent man in prison” testifies that for western democracies human life and justice are the most valuable aspects.(precious values).
The campaign in the media which aims to legitimate the crime against the population of Tetovo Highlands is being associated with a frantic multidimensional campaign to justify the crime on the civil population:
1. Referring to the media network for strategic research “Balkanalysis.com” the Democratic Party of Albanians aims to impose the silence about the truth of this operation through the implication of the international and Kosovar authorities.
By publishing it in their official website, the government coalition attempts to cover the homicide of innocent people by saying that “the police operation preliminarily has been finalized and has been approved by the American Ambassador, Gillian A. Milovanovic and the euro-ambassador, Erwan Fouéré” and “in consentaneous cooperation with the Kosovar authorities”.
In this awkward situation, where the media manipulations make the situation even more difficult, the ambassadors mentioned above should explain the public opinion about the truth regarding this information.
Whatever the truth is, (about the “implications” of personalities and authorities mentioned above), this doesn’t ease the bitter fact that the civil population was terrorized in Tetovo Highlands, civilians have been shot dead, have been wounded and arrested…
Whatever the truth is about the “implications” of the personalities mentioned above, The Albanian Democratic Union requires from the United States of America and the European Union to create a particular committee to investigate the dimensions of the consequences among the civil population.
Whatever the truth is about the “implication” of the Kosovar authorities, The Albanian Democratic Union requires from the institutions in Kosovo to give all the necessary explanations in order to end the speculations regarding the veracity of this information.
2. Neither the delivery of the armament in the lanes of the village Brodec, nor their exhibition in the military barracks can hide the police construction of the situation in order to justify the terror on the civilian population of Tetovo Highlands.
It is not the first time that the Macedonian Government emplaces the armament in the places they need to intrigue judiciary processes against the Albanians: “Sopot’s Case” is a fresh one.
You, the leadership of the Albanian Democratic Party in power, promised during the election campaign to free all the prisoners who were victims of made up processes during the previous mandate. Instead of fulfillment of those promises, you rush into the nation and try to make up more processes. These practices were condemned by you, while you were in the opposition.
To input western democracies “the supporting” for homicide and arresting innocents civil is double crime.
The Albanian Democratic Union demands a dynamic intervention of the international organizations and institutions, in order to stop Macedonia making up processes against innocent people and to set all the victims of these practices free.
This is the only way to turn down the tension and to create the favorite circumstances where the true guilty ones should be charged with responsibility.
Demand:
1. To release all arrested civilians
2.To establish international commission in order to investigate the police crime in the village Brodec
3. International measures to be undertaken in order to punish all those the are responsible for this crime
4. To review all court processes and release all innocent persons that are victims of political processes
