FORMER PRESIDENT OF MACEDONIA BORIS TRAJKOVSKI

Boris Trajkovski was the President of the Republic from December 15th 1999 until his death. Born on June 25th 1956 in Strumica. Graduated from Faculty of Law in Skopje 1980, specialised trade law and right to work relations. Until 1997 Head of Law service in construction company "Sloboda" - Skopje, from 1997 to 1998 Head of the Cabinet of mayor of Kisela Voda - Skopje and from December 21st Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Macedonia.

 

He also was President of the Committee for foreign - political relations of VMRO-DPMNE, main foreign policy political adviser of the President of VMRO-DPMNE, Presidency member of non-governmental organisation - Pan European movement for the Republic of Macedonia, member of international conference "Conflicts resolution" Atlanta, USA, participant in many international conferences related to conflicts resolution, religion tolerance, religion freedom, President of United Methodist Church in the former Yugoslavia for more than 12 years.

 

Inaugurated as the second President of the Republic of Macedonia on December 15th 1999. He held this post until the tragic accident on 26th of february 2004.
